just noticed I haven't posted to my motorcycle blog for ages! My KLR650 from Kawasaki is running fine. I received a warranty notice from Kawasaki - something about the bolts on the muffler need to be looked at, so I will need to take it in for service.

It's time for an oil change anyway.

I took the milk carton off the bike about a month ago. It looked a LOT better without the milk carton. But finally I strapped it back on. The plastic box is super useful for carrying stuff.

I strapped a big plastic milk carton box onto the back of my KLR 650 this summer. Needless to say, it looks totally goofy. But it is extremely practical. The plastic milk carton box weighs almost nothing, so it doesn't add much weight to the machine. I strap a spider web bungee cord over the top to hold things in the box.

I saw my old Chetak at a gas station over by Saugus Suzuki the other day. I know it was my old Chetak, because the guy still has my personalized license plates (with expired tags no less). The scooter is still in great shape!

Left fairing needed to be replaced. Radiator was slightly bent first week I had the bike while I was riding out in the Mojave desert. When mechanics were replacing the left fairing they noticed that the radiator needed to be straightened.

While bike was in the shop I bought the Kawasaki tall windshield. Looks great on the bike. Really looks like it belongs on the bike. Not sure how much wind it deflects, but it does look cool IMO.

The bike has about 3,800 miles on it now.
